- B House Chiang Mai
New budget hotel with startup quirks and potential. The lobby is already nice and the rooms are fully furnished. Excellent value.
- Chiangmai Driving
Until about ten years ago, driver's education was hardly known in Chiang Mai and most of Thailand. As long as you passed the very easy driving test, you would get your license. Or you just slipped the office 500 Baht, whatever seemed more convenient. This has since changed and some drivers' ed has to be certified. Not sure if this particular driving school has English instruction. You may try to call. Their vehicles are quite visible on the streets so they have some traction.

- Aek Panya School
The atrocious state of Thai Education forces many students to attend one of these to pass the university entrance exam. They sometimes are facing the same teachers who refuse to do any real teaching in the public school to make more money later in the day.

- Go Salapao Yaowarat โก๋ซาลาเปาเยวราช
Looks more like an antiques shop, but is a restaurant serving (mostly) salapoa, rice flour dumplings.
- Rachamankha Hotel
Now (2015) open for over ten years, the hotel has firmly established itself as a luxury Chiang Mai accommodation pick. The location isn't the greatest but it's quiet and management has done a great job in recent years in retaining return visitors.
- Louise Body Herbed and Spa
Funky hairdresser and beauty parlor with a nonsensical name and apparently very good prices.

- Mila Bella Beauty & Spa
Look at their facebook page to get a taste. "Beauty" treatments are available here as at many establishments in beauty-obsessed Thailand, but legit ones may be on offer. Be careful and avoid anything that requires anesthesia.

- SP Chicken
Famous marinated chicken and acceptable Isaan food. Open only until 9 pm. or until the chickens run out (not literally), whatever comes first. You come here for the chicken, other food can be much better elsewhere. Sadly, the haphazard preparation of Thai dishes served in small portions is all too common at Thai-Chinese establishments.

A new cafe run by students of the Northern School for the Blind, partly as vocational training. A cafe well worth supporting.
