Wat Suan Dok in 2005

Wat Suan Dok was founded in 1370 by King Kue Na of Lanna for the monk Sumana Thera. The Sri-Lankan-style chedi is 48 meters high and one of the landmarks of Chiang Mai. The temple is located on Suthep Road, about 1 kilometer west of Suan Dok gate.
