One of the oldest and most innovative celadon and ceramics makers in Chiang Mai. Prices are reasonable. However, this one of the first companies to realize that arts and crafts of this standard are artwork, and should be priced accordingly.

It's pronounced "Pa Ja Git". Very friendly staff and reasonable rates with good decoration, but the area is towards the mountain, not the tourist areas. This maybe an advantage for some.

Small and cozy guesthouse in Chiang Mai at a good location. Very good price for a hotel with full amenities and a pool.

When buying antiques or other objects in Thailand, remember that Buddha images over 12 cm (about five inches) in size need a permit from the Fine Arts Department to be exported. All export of parts of Budha images (hands, feet etc.) are strictly prohibited to protect the statues on display in Thailand.
